William Kelly French

Mr. William Kelly French, Sr. of 1015 Markey Tr., Alton, VA, formerly of Street, MD died on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the age of 70. He was born on July 13, 1941 to Thurman Grandville French and Kathryn Orlean Mayberry French and was married to Mary Catherine French. He was a retired dairy farmer, a member of Farm Bureau, a past member of FFA and attended Victory Baptist Church in Ringgold, VA. He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine French of Alton, VA; two daughters, Kathy Jones & her husband, Larry and Debbie French & her fiancee, Kenny Williams all of Alton, VA; two sons, William Kelly French, Jr. & his wife, Darlene of Gretna, VA and Labon French of Dallas, TX; great grandchild, Jaylyn; four sisters, Barbara Plauger of Maurrtown,VA, Nancy Nixon of Bel Air, MD, Shirley Coldiron of Forest Hill, MD, and Kathryn Hart of Parkville, MD; two brothers, Alvin French of Jacksonville, FL and Thurman "J.R." French of Middle River, MD; 9 grandchildren, Crystal, Lisa, Nicholas, Jennalyn, Bobbi Jo, Corey, Devan, Miranda, and Kelly Rae ; 3 step-grandchildren, Beth, Sara, and Amy; 8 great grandchildren, Akira, Lorelai, Taelyn, Cadence, Atom, Isiah, Allijh, and Orvieana. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Samuel Joseph "Joe" Mullins, and one sister, Ella Fernsler. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church in Ringgold, VA with Rev. Chad Branch officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Victory Baptist Church for 2 hours prior to the service on Friday, and at other times at his home.
