William Hartwell Jones

William “Bill” Hartwell Jones of Buffalo Junction, VA, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the age of 69. Born on March 6, 1954, in South Boston, VA, he was the son of the late Hartie Jackson Jones, Jr. and Mary Ann Rice Jones. Bill was a class of 1972 Bluestone High School graduate. He was a successful entrepreneur that owned and operated Clarksville Ace Hardware. In his spare time, he was an avid RC plane pilot and loved his English bulldogs.

Bill is survived by his son, Dylan Jones and a brother, Doug Jones.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 in Oakhurst Cemetery with the Reverend Rodney Barwick officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. on Monday evening, July 24, at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home.
