William Peter "Pete" Hansen

William Peter “Pete” Hansen of South Boston passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.  He was born in Wallkill, New York on March 17, 1948 to the late Leo Hansen and the late Barbara Logan Hansen.  He is survived by his wife, Dolores Anne “Dee” Hansen.

Pete is a longtime veteran having served in the United States Navy. He was an avid fisherman and loved his family dearly. Pete was employed as a yard foreman for over 25 years with Raleigh Lumber.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; son, Stephen Hansen (JohnnieAnne); daughter, Chelsea Hansen; grandchildren, McKenna, Tanner, and Anaiyah; brother, James Hansen (Blondie); sister-in-law, Cindy Hansen and mother-in-law, Shirley Kuczenski.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hank Hansen.

Services will be private.
