William "Sambo" Anderson Keeton

Buffalo Junction, VA - William “Sambo” Anderson Keeton, husband of the late Debbie Keeton, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at the age of 72. He was born on December 11, 1947, in Buffalo Junction to Janie Lee Elliott Keeton and the late Hurley Lee Keeton. Sambo worked in road construction with Key Construction for 30 years. He loved to ski and boat on the lake, was a big Nascar fan and an excellent cook. Sambo is survived by his mother, Janie Lee; a daughter, Charlotte Pennington (Donna) of South Hill; son, Brian Keeton of Clover; sisters, Linda Puryear (Donald), Lois Martin (Tony) both of Buffalo Junction and Annie Sue Overby (Lynn) of Hitesburg and grandchildren, Nathaniel B. Pennington, Jr., Aimee Wootton, Joshua Dale Keeton and Cameron Lane Keeton. In addition to his father and wife, Sambo was preceded in death by a son, William Dale Keeton. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, February 20, 2020, in the chapel at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with burial to follow at Aarons Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
