William Thomas Satterfield, Jr.

William Thomas Satterfield, Jr. passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at the age of 63.  He was born in Halifax County on October 21, 1961 to Dorothy Epps Kinder and the late William Thomas Satterfield, Sr.  He is survived by his wife, Diana Glasscock Satterfield.

He was a superintendent with VA/Carolina for over 20 years.  He was a very dedicated employee and loved his job.  He loved fishing and went every chance that he got. He was always busy working or tinkering on something.  A very dedicated family man, he was a loving husband, father, grandpa and brother.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Diana; daughter, Angela Lynn Satterfield Bartee; grandchildren, Jayden Beard & Adam Bartee; brother, Michael Wayne Satterfield (Becky), sister, Norma Jean Henderson (Stover Owen) and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son, William Thomas Satterfield, III.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
