William Henry Seals, 70, husband of 41 years to Carol Ann Seals, passed away Wednesday, August 07, 2013 in Lynchburg General Hospital. Bill was born September 29, 1942 in Baton Rouge, LA to the late Ernest and Laura Lucille Meyer Seals. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from LSU and American University and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from George Washington University. Bill was an Louisiana State Trooper and then spent 26 years as an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, retiring in 1992. He owned and operated Seals Fire Investigations for 13 years. Bill had a private pilot's license; was a fabulous cook and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. As a Scout Master, he enjoyed taking his sons and fellow scouts on many adventures. A Funeral Mass will be said by Father Gerry Kaggwa and Deacon John Sadowski at 11 am Monday at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Seals is survived by his sons, Matthew Seals and his wife, Katrina Fuller of Hoboken, NJ and Travis Seals of Charlottesville. His grandchildren, Becket and Mary Wren Seals and brothers, Lindsay Seals of Atlanta, GA and Ernest Seals and his wife, Bootsie of New Roads, LA also survive. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 pm Sunday at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home with the Knights of Columbus serving as Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Clarksville Lake Country SPCA.
