William Archer "Billy" Seat

VIRGILINA, VA Mr. William Archer “Billy” Seat, Jr. of Ramble Road, Virgilina, VApassed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at the age of 88. Born in Halifax County on October 28, 1930, he was the son of the late William Archer Seat, Sr and Effie Gravitt Seat and was married to the late Ann Gravitt Seat. Billy was employed with J.P. Stevens for over 40 years. He loved hunting, camping, fishing and the outdoors. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and served his country, in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. He is survived by a daughter, Cindy Seat Spell; 10 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; sister, Sarah Humphries; special friend, Timmy Campbell Jr. and many other friends and family members. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Seat and a daughter, Sandra Lowery. A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church with Reverend Jack Stewart and Reverend Randy Holmes officiating.Interment will follow in Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Grace Baptist Church from 1:00-2:00 PM and at other times the home, 2037 Ramble Road, Virgilina, VA.
