William Brann Vaughan

ALTON, VA - Mr. William Brann Vaughan of Alton, Va., died July 17, 2016 at the age of 53. Mr. Vaughan was born August 11, 1962 to the late William Briggs Vaughan and Lillie Mae Compton Atallah and is survived by his wife Shelia Lowery Vaughan. He was a former employee of RTP Co. where he was an electrician and maintenance supervisor. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mary Reaves and husband Dale, of South Boston; two grandchildren, Allen and Shawn Snead; a brother, Tony Vaughan and wife Ruth of Poplar Bluff, MO; three sisters, Lisa Tweedle and husband Howard of Mexia, TX, Janice Ayres and husband Art of Belton, TX, and Donna Riedman and husband Michael of London, KY; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Jackie Lynn Vaughan. Funeral services for Mr. Vaughan will be held Wednesday, July 20, at 2:00 P.M., at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home with the Reverend Frankie Reaves officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Church Yard Cemetery, News Ferry Trail. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 19, from 7 to 8:30 P.M., at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mary and Dale Reaves, 6080 Philpott Rd., South Boston.
