Willliam "Bill" L. Owen

On Thursday April 2, 2020, William Owen Jr. “BIll”, loving husband and father of 3 children, passed away at the age of 81. Bill was born on September 21, 1938 in Halifax County and is preceded in death by his mother, Martha “Becky” Conway, father Louis Owen and best friend, Paul Kirtley. On April 26,1960 he married Mary “Van” Owen. They raised a daughter, Teresa Owen Kirtley, two sons Richard Owen (Tracy) and David Owen (Darlene Taylor). Bill is also survived by his brother, Bobby Owen (Ann) and sister Ann Mills (Bert). His is survived by many grand children, great grand children as well as extended family and friends. Bill enjoyed boating, jet skiing, Harley motorcycles, corvettes and lake life. We will be having a celebration of life at a future date.
