Wilma Marcelle Carver Whitt

Mrs. Wilma Marcelle Carver Whitt of 2196 Turbeville Rd., Alton, VA died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the age of 78. She was born in Halifax Co., VA on January 27, 1936 to the late Dolain and Wilma Adams Carver and was married to the late Levi Warren Whitt. Mrs. Whitt was a homemaker. Survivors include four daughters, Brenda Kay Brooks of South Boston, VA, Janet Lacks of South Boston, VA, Linda Price of Lynchburg, VA, and Donna Eastwood of Roxboro, NC; two sons, Warren Whitt of South Boston, VA and Douglas "Ray" Whitt of Turbeville, VA; eleven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 7 PM until 8:30 PM and at other times at the home of Janet Lacks, 4089 Bold Springs Rd., South Boston, VA.
