Wilton Allen Bass, Jr.

Mr. Wilton Allen Bass of Clarksville, VA passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the age of 66. He was born in South Boston, VA on February 24, 1958 the son of the late Wilton Bass and the late Florence Reese Bass. Mr. Bass was a 1976 graduate of Bluestone High School. He went on to attend Elon University earning a degree in Political Science with minors in Sociology, Philosophy, and Psychology. While at Elon he was a founding father of the Epsilon Alpha chapter of Pi Kappa Phi where he was brother of the year in 1981. Allen was employed by the Virginia Department of Conservation & Recreation and enjoyed collecting Native American artifacts. Survivors include his sister, Judy “Julia” Bulloch of Aberdeen, NC; significant other, Mary L. Pulliam; and step mother, Reba Bass. A funeral service for Mr. Bass will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 12 noon at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Jimmy Garland officiating. Entombment will follow in Oakhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 11:00 am.
