Winfrey Alvin Conner

HALIFAX - Mr. Winfrey Alvin “Wimpy” Conner of Halifax passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the age of 61. He was born in Halifax Co., VA on April 13, 1955 to the late Acree Byrd Conner and the late Ethel Chandler Conner and was married to the late Marcia Brame Conner. Mr. Conner was retired from Halifax Co. Public Works and was member of Dan River Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Bobbie Jo Conner; a grandson, Damion Conner; a step daughter, Michelle Creasy; two step grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Hazelwood and husband, Charles and Doris Thompson and husband, Roger; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Alvin Conner, and two brothers, William Conner and Calvin Conner.
