Winnie H. Gould

Winnie Muriel Harrell Gould, 89, died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Meadow View Terrace. Born September 17, 1921, she was the third of six children born to Billy Zelma and Julia Elizabeth "Dolly" Harrell. She was born in Sparks, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Velma Connell, Doris Oglesby, Billy Harrell, Kathleen Stefancsyk, and Fred Harrell. She graduated from Sparks-Adel High School in Adel, Georgia in 1940. Winnie married John Barrow Gould on January 8, 1941 with her parents as her witnesses. She and John were surprised after 25 years of marriage with the birth of their only son, Tracy who survives his mother's death along with his wife, Sherry and son, Bailey. She retired at 85 years old from the Clarksville Baptist Church preschool where she was a beloved teaching assistant for 34 years. She was a faithful member of Clarksville Baptist Church having taught children's Sunday School classes and Vacation Bible School for many years. Mrs. Gould was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Barrow Gould on May 20, 1992. Funeral Services will be Monday May 2, 2011 at Four o'clock pm at Clarksville Baptist Church with the Reverend Greg Randall officiating. Interment was at Oakhurst Cemetery.
