Zedia Thurman Jett

Mrs. Zedia Thurman Jett, 99, widow of Henry Letcher Jett, died Thursday, December 15, 2005 at her home. The daughter of The Reverend John Dudley Thurman and Mrs. Louise Corinthine Townsend Thurman, she was born in Hardy, Virginia and lived in Roanoke. A homemaker, Mrs. Jett moved to Chase City in 1985 to be near her family. Funeral services will be 4PM Saturday at Centenary United Methodist Church, of which she was a member, with The Reverend Jeff Clemmens officiating. Graveside services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke will take place 2PM Sunday. Mrs. Jett is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara J. and Ray D. Mull of Chase City; LaVerne J. and William K. Beathe of Roanoke; and grandson, Timothy R. Mull of Chase City. The family will receive friends immediately following the Saturday service at the residence of Barbara and Ray Mull. Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
