Ann Carol Hayes Painter

Roxboro, NC - Ann Carol Hayes Painter left us to be with the Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017 at the age of 73.Carol was the wife of the late Jerry Onzlow Painter.She was born on April 1, 1944 in Durham County, NC to the late Lantie Lee and Annie Hester Hayes.Carol was a sales representative for many years with Avon and also worked with GTE.She was a member of North Roxboro Baptist Church. Mrs. Painter is survived by her son, Keith Onzlow Painter; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Demaze and George Evans of Roxboro; grandchildren, Amanda Painter, Jake Evans and Jackson Evans and three great grandchildren.Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Billy Seate, and sister-in-law, Brenda Hayes.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Hayes Painter; sister, Cordelia Hayes Tucker and brothers, Foy Carlton Hayes and Dennis Milton Hayes. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5 at the residence, 229 Crestwood Drive, Roxboro, NC 27573.A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 6 at the Painter Family Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Billy Seate officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Concord United Methodist Church Youth Fund, 70 Concord Church Rd., Semora, NC 27574 or Healing Transitions, 1251 Goode Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
