Carmen Smith Meeler

Mrs. Carmen Smith Meeler of Bold Springs Road passed away at her home on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the age of 65. She was born in Greensboro, NC on November 9, 1956 to the late Marshall and Bernice Simerson Smith and was married to James Meeler, of the home. Carmen was employed as the operations manager for Homecare Alliance for 15 years. She loved animals and her flowers. In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by a son, James Meeler, III and wife Dawn; grandchildren, Bianca Meeler, Nate Meeler, Noah Meeler, Amber Link and Haley Link; great grandchildren, Warren, Dawson and Aubrey; brother, Curtis Smith (Rhoda); sister-in-law, Laura Smith as well as nieces and nephews, Christopher Smith, Douglas Smith, Eddie Duffer (Marsha) and Anne Smith. Carmen was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Michelle Davis; brothers, Harry Smith, Michael Smith, and sister Connie Smith. A private family burial will be held at Gravel Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Joey Tucker officiating.
