Cary Daniel Thomas

SOUTH BOSTON, VA Mr. Cary Daniel Thomas, Sr. of 300 Leigh Street, South Boston, went to his heavenly home on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the age of 87.Born in Halifax County on September 20, 1930, he was the son of the late William Ephraim Thomas and the late Leslie Thomas Bebber and was married to the late Doris Barksdale Thomas. Cary was a member of Bread of Life Church of God in South Boston. He was the owner and operator of Cary’s Electronics, Inc. for over 30 years. He is survived by a son, Cary “Danny” Thomas, Jr. and wife, Frankie Jean of Danville; daughter, Betty Jones and husband, A.B. Jones, Jr of Halifax; sister, Geneva Snow of South Boston; brother, Carl Bebber of Montpelier, VA; grandsons, Daniel Thomas and wife Jen of South Boston, Derek Thomas and wife Mary of Halifax, Albert Jones and wife Dana of Halifax and Brent Jones and fiancé, Ashley Reynolds, both of Charlotte, NC; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Other than his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Blenton Conner and daughter-in-law, Libby Conner; brothers and sisters, William Thomas, Cecil Thomas, Robert Thomas and Dorothy Moore. Funeral services for Mr. Thomas will be Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM at South Boston Church of God. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 12 one hour prior to the service 1:00-2:00 PM at South Boston Church of God. After the service, the family will receive friends at A.B. and Betty Jones home, 1011 Brook Run, Halifax, VA.
