Cecil Wilson Tuck

VIRGILINA - Mrs. Cecil Wilson Tuck of Wilson Road, Virgilina, VA passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the age of 89. She was born in Halifax County, VA on May 20, 1929 to Asa Jerry and Emma Sue Long Wilson who predeceased her. She was married to the late Benjamin Pool Tuck, Jr. She was a member of Florence Avenue Baptist Church in Virgilina. She was previously employed at Wabash Magnetics, Russell Stover Candies, and Calloway Grocery in Christie, VA. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and son William Brann Tuck, Sr., sisters, Zuline Wilson Lowery, Thelma Wilson Wilson, Lois Gertrude Wilson, and Shirley Wilson Carmichael. She is survived by her son, Wilson Lane Tuck; daughters, Wanda Tuck Day and Winnie Beverly Tuck; four grandchildren, Scottie Tuck Elliott (Stacy), William Brann Tuck, Jr., Kristie Tuck Hogan (Brian), and Benjamin Snead Tuck; four great grandchildren, Emma Layne Elliott, Evan Dale Elliott, Elizabeth Paige Elliott, and Kolbie Ann Tuck; one brother, Caleb Jerry Wilson; two sisters Virginia Wilson Cumbey (Butch) and Nancy Wilson Young (Harold); and numerous other loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Florence Avenue Baptist Church at 2:00PM with the Reverends Herbert Brown and Jack Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Virgilina Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home Monday, February 25 from 7:00PM to 8:30PM.
