Chad Taylor Barker

Oxford, NC - Chad Taylor Barker, age 36, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017.Chad was born in Vance County, NC on November 21, 1980 to Patricia Short Tingen and Warren Taylor Barker.Chad was a graduate of J.F. Webb High School and was employed as a crew chief with Watkins Tobacco Contractors, Inc.He was a dedicated member of the Granville Rural Fire Department.Chad’s loves included riding four wheelers with friends, NASCAR, Duke Basketball and chocolate pies. He was a member of Stovall United Methodist Church. Cherishing his memories are his mother and step-father, Patricia and Mike Tingen, his father and step-mother, Warren and Linda Barker, step-brother, Gary Tingen, step-sister, Sandy Tingen and numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, April 5, 2017 from 7 – 8:30 pm at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, VA.Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, April 6th at Stovall United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Meadowview Memorial Park in Oxford.The Reverends John Yount and Johnny Yount will be officiating.
