Earl Farrel Rice

Mr. Earl Farrel Rice passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the age of 72. Earl was born on March 4, 1948 to the late Earnest Eldon Rice and the late Minnie Mary Crews Rice.He is married to Linda Grace Rice. Earl was the owner and operator of A & E Race Cars. He loved racing and antique cars. He especially loved his grandson and his family. He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Tina Rice-Smith and husband, Jamie; grandson, J.D. Smith; daughter, Shelly Garcia and husband, Sammy; brothers, Eldon Rice and wife, Josephine; John Rice and wife, Mary; Aubrey Rice and wife, Jeanette; and Allen Rice and wife, Cathy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Wayne Rice; sisters, Joyce Boyd, Alease Stevens; brother, Curtis Rice; and his best friend, Danny Willis, Sr. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the South Boston Church of God. Following the service, the family will be at the South Boston Speedway. In following with the guidelines for COVID-19, only immediate family will be allowed in the pits at South Boston Speedway, but everyone else is welcome to be outside the track. After the track, the family will be receiving friends and family at Earl and Linda's house, 1091 Cluster Springs Road, South Boston, VA.
