Helen Roberson Covington

Mrs. Helen Roberson Covington of 2704 Halifax Rd., South Boston, VA died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the age of 90. She was born in Roxboro, NC on December 31, 1921 to the late John and Lillie Roberson and was married to the late Benton Harold Covington. Mrs. Covington was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Valrie Loftis of South Boston, VA and Vicky Daniel and husband, Judson of South Boston, VA; two granddaughters, Adrienne Blanks and Angela Allred & husband, Mike; a grandson-in-law, Bill Blanks; seven great grandchildren, Ashlan Garber, Tanner Blanks, Trevor Seate, Noah Seate, Collin Loftis, Chloe Loftis, and Kristin Rutherford; and three great great grandchildren, Dannon Garber, Bronwyn Rutherford, and Hadley Rutherford. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a sister, Lessie Snow. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home, 2704 Halifax Rd., South Boston, VA.
