Jean Worsham Toone

Mrs. Jean Worsham Tooneof Buffalo Junction passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the age of 77.Born in Richmond, VA, March 6, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Herman Wakefield Worsham andthe late Edith Eileen Coleman and was married to the late Vernon Kimball Toone. After moving to Clarksville, Jean began working years with the U.S. Corp of Engineers at the John H. Kerr Dam, then with the Department of Social Security office in South Boston, where she retired with over 30 years as a federal employee and was the owner of Lakeview Motors. She was a member of Clarksville Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sewing and reading. Jean is survived by sons, Brian Kimball Toone (Connie), and Brent Kerwin Toone (Jennifer); grandchildren, Kimball, Mario, Mikayla, Bentley, and Dallas; brothers, Duncan Worsham and Ralph Worsham; sister, Sylvia Traylor and numerous nieces and nephews. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Billy and Sanford Worsham. Funeral services for Jean Worsham Toone will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Clarksville Baptist Church with The Reverend Dr. Greg Randall officiating.Burial will follow in the Mausoleum in Woodland Cemetery at Chase City. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Clarksville Baptist Church.
