Myles Evan King

SOUTH BOSTON Myles Evan King passed away on Thursday October 21, 2021 at the age of 39.Born in Halifax County on May 27, 1982, he was the son of Mary Wells and the late John Benjamin King, Jr.He was married to Laura Lea Hogan King. Myles was born and raised in Mecklenburg County and a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. He was a 2000 graduate of Bluestone High School, furthering his education at Averett University with a Bachelor's Degree in Religion and minor in History in 2003.He was very musically gifted, loved the outdoors and cooking for his family, especially on the grill. He lived his life to care for his family and was a very dedicated and loving husband and father. In addition to his mother, Mary and his wife, Laura, he leaves behind sons, Evan Michael King and John Benjamin King II; daughter, Bobbie Wade; brothers, William Brandon King (Jennifer) of Chester, VA and Jacob Scott King (Shawna) of Chase City, VA; niece, Ashley King (Dylan)of Gretna, VA; nephews, Tristan Brown and Michael Brown both of South Boston; sister in law: Regina Hogan (Mike Garner) of South Boston; mother in law: Arlene Wade (Owen) of Scottsburg and father in law: Larry Hogan of Virgilina.In addition to his father, Myles is predeceased his maternal grandparents, Harold and Ida Leigh Wells; and paternal grandparents, John Sr. and Willie C.
