Paul Rudolph Rice

CLARKSVILLE, VA Mr. Paul Rudolph Rice, 71, died on Saturday, March 5, 2016. He was born on August 9, 1944 in Mecklenburg County to the late Grady Lee and Willie Wiley Rice. Paul graduated from Bluestone High School in 1963 and was a member of Clarksville Baptist Church. He retired from Revlon as a maintenance worker. Paul was an avid hunter and a lifelong member of the Clarksville Fire Department. Mr. Rice is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Patsy Garrett Rice; sons and daughters-in-law, John Paul and Tina Rice of Clarksville, Patrick Lee Rice and Tammy Anderson of Clarksville; brothers, Fred Rice of Oxford, NC and Robert Rice of Clarksville; sister, Helen Selby of Cary, NC; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held on at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 officiated by the Reverend Dr. Greg Randall and the Reverend Rodney Barwick at Watkins Cooper Lyon Chapel. Visitation for friends and family will be held at 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home, 703 Virginia Avenue in Clarksville. Interment at Oakhurst Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral service.
