Simon Keim

Clarksville, VA - Simon Keim, husband of Charlene “Sherry” Keim, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the age of 77 after a long struggle with COPD. He was born in Hartville, OH, on April 21, 1942, to Noah and Sarah Miller Keim. Simon worked previously in Virginia Beach as a construction estimator and most recently as a school bus driver in Mecklenburg County. He enjoyed woodworking, especially making birdhouses. In addition to his wife, cherishing his memories are sons David Brent Keim (Shell) and Jonathan Eric Keim; six grandchildren Emma, Sueanna, Noah, Micah, Asa and Joshua; siblings Edna, Esther, Martha, Mel, John and Leroy as well as many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and by siblings, Albert and Savilla, his twin sister. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 26 anytime between 12 – 4 P.M. at the Keim’s residence, 284 Brady Way, Clarksville, VA 23927, to celebrate Simon’s life. Simon had a special interest in Habitat for Humanity. Those wishing to give memorials are asked to consider Habitat or a charity of choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wclfh.com.
