CLOVER Mr. Thomas Lee “Tommy” Duffer, Sr. of Clover passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the age of 81. He was born on March 1, 1940 to the late Berkley and Sara King Duffer and was predeceased by his wife, Juanita Lacks Duffer, who was the love of his life. Tommy was a tobacco farmer and also retired from J.P. Stevens as a loom tech. He always enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to the sounds of nature. When inside, he loved to watch Westerns on TV. He loved bowling,fishing, hunting, camping and working with cows and was the founder and a lifetime member of the Piney Creek Hunting Club. He loved his family dearly and going to ballgames with his children and grandchildren. And not to be forgotten, he loved his family and friends at the Dialysis Clinic. Tommy was survived by a daughter, Barbara Nichols and husband, Jimmy; sons, T.L. Duffer and wife, Sandra; Bucky Duffer and wife, Amy; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and 2 more on the way; sisters, Shirley Whitt and Joyce Tuck. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy “Dot” Smith and brothers, Wade Duffer, Eddie “PeeWee” Duffer and Glenn Duffer. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 30 at Red Level Independent Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 29 at Brooks Lyon Funeral Home from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM and other times at his home.
