Woodrow Wilson Simmons, Jr.

Mr. Woodrow Wilson Simmons, Jr., 63, died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital. The son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Viola Elliotte Simmons, Woodrow was born and reared in Mecklenburg County. He was a retired painter and wrecker driver. Graveside services will be 11 AM Friday at Bluestone Cemetery. Mr. Simmons is survived by his daughter, Linda Dare Simmons of Blackstone and niece, Carol Price of Chase City. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Glassco. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
